     Occasionally, we will see some relatively large valves in some pipelines. We always install bypass valves. Why is this? What is its main role? Under what circumstances do you need to install? What is the size of the bypass valve of the corresponding equipment?

     In fact, the bypass valve is set in the pipeline, and its role can be divided into two major points in general: one is to play a protective role (balancing pressure at both ends), and the other is emergency backup!

First, the protection function can also be said to be a protective measure for the main valve, to prevent the pressure difference between the front and rear of the valve being too large, causing large opening resistance and poor opening of the valve, especially in some large diameter or high pressure. pipeline. Before the high-pressure pipe is opened, the pressure is relieved through the bypass valve to avoid the sudden surge of high pressure and impact the pipe below the valve. Or the pressure difference between the two ends of the valve is too large, and the opening torque is too large. To prevent the torque damage to the valve, bypass the pressure relief valve and then open the valve.


Second, the emergency role, as a backup pipeline to use, the biggest advantage is that when the main valve fails, or maintenance needs maintenance, can be opened by opening the bypass valve, and does not affect the normal production.

Whether the valve needs to install the bypass valve specific requirements and settings: (for reference only)

2.5MPa level, DN400 or higher; 

4.0MPa level, DN250 or higher; 

6.4MPa level, DN200 or higher; 

10MPa level, DN150 or higher;

Valves of DN100~DN200 with bypass and bypass valves of DN20; 

Valves of DN250~DN600 valves with bypass and bypass valves of DN25;
